Bring on the pain

Seth Godin has a post about reaching your ‘Big Max’ after you’re reached a personal peak. I think the biggest problem with getting to the Big Max is the sharp decline that comes right before you hit the jackpot. And that terrifies people, myself included.
My personal fear is what if I don’t get past point C? Then what?
